Tshirt Patchwork

Leftover pieces from cut-up t-shirts. Some stitching and embroidery by hand. I will keep embellishing some of the squares and then will probably turn this into a pillow. Or had squares all around and turn it into a small blanket. Time will tell...

Furry monster - Monstre poilu

A few months ago, my mother gave a small piece of craft fur. I didn't know what to do with it. Then, this weekend, we bought a craft magazine. And I knew I had to make a furry monster eyeglass case! Or it could be a wallet. Or pencil case. Whatever the case, I think he's adorable. Don't you?

Il y a quelques mois, ma mère m'a donné un petit morceau de fourrure artisanale. Je ne savais pas quoi faire avec. Puis, en fin de semaine, nous avons acheté une revue d'artisanant. Et j'ai su tout de suite que je devais faire un étui à lunettes monstre poilu! Ou ça pourrait être un porte-feuille. Ou un étui à crayons. Peu importe, je le trouve adorable. Et vous?

Felt pumpkin pendant - Pendentif citrouille en feutrine

While making my felt leaves, I had the idea to do a pumpkin with her own little leaf. And this is what happened. I like it but I have to change the jump ring (the one I used was way too big.)

Pendant que je fabriquais mes feuilles en feutrine, j'ai eu l'idée d'un citrouille avec ça propre petite feuille. Et voilà le résultat. Je l'aime bien mais je dois changer l'anneau (celui utilisé était bien trop gros.)

Felt leaf bracelet - Bracelet feuilles en feutrine

Following last week's necklace, here is a bracelet I made out of felt leaves. It was a bit more difficult than I expected but I think it turned out fine. I doubt I'll make more like this because it took quite some time but if I find an easier way to make a bracelet... who knows?

I plan on making quite a few of the leaf pendants and to start selling them sometime next month. Of course, I will let you know if and when I do.

Après le collier de la semaine dernière, voici un bracelet que j'ai fait à partir de feuilles en feutrine. Ce fut plus difficile que je ne pensais mais je pense qu'il parait bien. Je doute en faire d'autres comme celui-ci parce que ça m'a pris pas mal de temps mais si je trouve une façon plus facile de faire un bracelet... qui sait?

J'ai l'intention de faire une panoplie de feuilles en feutrine comme pendentifs et de commencer à les vendre au cours du mois prochain. Bien sûr, je vous laisserai savoir si et quand je le ferai. 

Cherry or apple? - Cerise ou pomme?

I had a perfect image of how this project would come out... in my mind. It was supposed to be an apple. But it turned out to look more like a cherry. I used acrylic yarn on a small knitting loom and stuffed it with polyfill. The stem and leaf are felt stitched to craft wire which was then attached to the body with more yarn. It would look better if the filling was red so maybe I'll try it with recycled fiber/fabric next time.

J'avais une image parfaite de ce projet... dans ma tête. Ça devait être une pomme. Mais elle ressemble plus à une cerise. J'ai pris du fil acrylique sur un petit tricotin et l'ai rembourré avec du polyfill. La queue et la feuille sont en feutrine cousu sur du fil métallique puis attaché au corps avec un peu de fil. Elle paraîtrait mieux si la bourre était rouge alors peut-être que la prochaine fois j'essaierai avec des fibres our du tissu recyclé.
