Crusade 42 - Strip Ease

A new challenge is up on the GPP Street Team blog: Strip Ease! The idea is to tear strips of paper and add them to the page. I started with a children's book page and some patterned papers. I then covered it all with a glaze of red acrylic. On another book page, I drew a girl over gesso and then painted her with watercolour. Finally, I wrote some text on plain paper, made some torn strips out of it, distressed them and glued them on the page. The absolute last thing I did was add oil pastel around the text pieces and the drawing.

Don't forget to comment on my previous post for my giveaway.

  2. Sophie - thanks for sharing your process and page with the team. Cool added detail of the torn phrases. Adding paint over the top was daring - I bet the texture looks really cool in real life.

I like the glaze with the paint : it unifies the whole pages and still let you see through.
