Lost at sea
So this is the painting I did last saturday. I put on some soothing music and did a blue background with acrylics. The colour wasn't quite what I wanted so I did a purplish wash over the whole thing. While it dried, I looked at it to see if there was a specific shape I could work with and all I could see was this small boat front. So that's what I did... a boat caught in the storm. Usually, when I paint this way (intuitively), something about how I feel or what I'm dealing with in my life shows up in the painting. So I'm guessing that this is how I felt for the past couple of weeks and this painting was my way of finding the light and getting out of the storm. Only used acrylics and acrylic mediums on a 6x12 canvas board.
