Here's my family. That was at Trattoria di Mikes for Father's Day. The food was excellent. Our waiter was funny. We had a nice evening. Notice my one-week hair growth! My brother and I have never looked so much alike! :-D

Photos
Here is a picture (the best I could take) of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste fireworks. Saturday night, mom and I decided to take a walk to the Cegep in Ste-Genevieve to go see the fireworks. It was a good walk but so worth it. We were sitting close to the water, no one around to annoy us and not too close for the noise to bother us. We both love fireworks but only from afar!
The other picture is of an altered CD I made. I started working on it sometime in 2006, using different techniques I had read about online. I finally decided to finish it 2 weeks ago. I like how it turned out. Background is done with masking tape painted with acrylics and inked up. Used packing tape transfer on an image by DaVinci. Used some crackle medium, patterned paper, glitter, flowers with brads, copper wire, beads, metal charms and some fibers.

Summertime...
...and the living is easy! Yup, school year is over. I'm on vacation. I have nothing specific planned so right now, it's one day at a time.
Last wednesday, I finally went to the library to be a member and I borrowed two books: SARK's Eat Mangoes Naked and Kurt Vonnegut's A Man Without A Country. Saturday, as usual, mom and I went shopping and I bought Rhonda Byrne's The Secret. I've already finished reading SARK, I'm halfway through The Secret and I'll probably have read Vonnegut by the weekend. I'm feeling good. I will definitely create something this week.
Good news: next school year, I will be working a bit more: 18h45 instead of 17h30 per week. AND I will be with a group of either 3rd, 4th or 5th graders. Good changes are coming! :-)

Layout + Card
I made these, this morning, to give to our school's principal because she's going to another school next fall. The pics aren't the greatest but it'll do for now.
All patterned papers are from Costco (the 3rd series) and cardstocks are Bazzill. On the card, I stamped the face (unknown source) on glossy paper coloured with alcohol inks and then mounted it on a 1-1/2" square chipboard. I did some paper piercing, added gold Stickles and used a gold leafing pen for some edges.
On the layout I used my Van Dyke Brown ink on the frayed edges of my stripped paper. All pictures are size 3-1/2" x 5". Ribbon is unknown source and all metal embellishments are from We R Memory Makers (bought the hardware kit yesterday.)
These aren't my greatest creations but they are still pretty nice. I especially like the card. (BTW the inside reads "... il y a une fin.")
Hopefully, this summer, I'll be able to do some of my own scrapbooking.
