Back to work

Work started officially today. School, though, only starts with half-days this Thursday and full days next week (after Labour Day weekend.)

What do kids do when the schoolyard's lawn has just been cut and there's grass laying everywhere? Well, they make nests for the soccer balls and basket-balls of course! Half a dozen of the kids were doing that this afternoon for well over an hour! And they weren't even bored yet! I told a couple of 6th graders who were there that they should enjoy their last year in elementary school, that it's their last chance to still do childish stuff and getting away with it because in high school, you can forget about playing "baby" games. They loved that I said that and had a blast all day long! Hopefully it'll spread to their friends and they'll have a fun year.

My muse came out of hiding. We made peace and she helped me finish one swap and get another one well on its way to being done. It feels good.

Now I'm off to bed because I have to get up in less than 7 hours! Yikes! Time flies when you're having fun...

It would be so nice to go back to those carefree days of childhood....well, maybe just for a little while. I wouldn't want to go through the teen years again!!

Get some sleep! And have fun with the kids.
