Knowing when to stop

I decided to stop participating in Nanowrimo this year. I have too much on my plate right now and it's just not fun anymore. The idea behind this project, for me, was to have fun.

I decided to give away this altered slide tonight. It could be used as an ornament or a necklace. The back has an image of the Eiffel tower. If you want a chance to win, just leave a comment and I'll announce the winner tomorrow at 7PM (eastern time.)

That is beautiful, I love the Eiffel tower!

Good that you stopped it when it quit being fun! I signed up for the 365 days of blogging this year & there were some days it was very hard. I'm looking forward to some time off in Jan!

It should be fun and when it isn't it's good that you can recognize that. I usually get in over my head and just keep going, making myself miserable in the process!

Oh isn't that so nice.
That's the reconsidering? Oh I understand, don't do it if it's a chore.
love to you...

Often we commit ourselves to do more than we can handle and it compromises our comfort. You gave yourself a fine gift by taking something off your plate, and it is OK.

I understand - the first year, I tried to make myself keep on doing it even though I was supercrunched for time, and it really wasn't all that much fun.
Your slide is lovely - I'm sorry I missed your giveaway.
