Gift card pocket - Pochette pour carte cadeau

I've had this idea for a while. A gift card pocket made from an empty roll of toilet paper. I flattened the tube and covered it with Gesso. After it dried, I painted it with brown watercolour (I know it looks more like orange but it's really a light brown.) After that, I tore a strip of paper from a children's book and sprayed it with a mix of water + reinkers + Perfect Pearls (my own "glimmer mist" if you will.) I glued the paper around the tube and a piece of stitched brown grosgrain ribbon over the text. I then stapled one end of the tube shut and covered it with a piece of teal cardstock (I used a decorative border punch on that piece.) I stamped on a small luggage tag and inked the edges, picked a flower I made a few weeks ago (will make more and share the process at a later date) and chose a punched + embossed butterfly (from CeeCee) to finish it off. I wanted a lot of layers but you could go much simpler if you wanted. It's easy to make and costs practically nothing in supplies!

Ça fait un bout de temps que j'ai cette idée. Une pochette pour carte cadeau à partir d'un rouleau vide de papier hygiénique. J'ai aplati le rouleau et l'ai recouvert de Gesso. Après qu'il ait séché, je l'ai peint avec de l'aquarelle brune (je sais que ç'a plus l'air orange mais c'est vraiment un brun pâle.) Après, j'ai déchiré une bande de papier dans un livre pour enfant que j'ai vaporisé d'un mélange d'eau + réencreurs + Perfect Pearls (mon propre mélange de "glimmer mist" si on veut.) J'ai collé le papier autour du rouleau puis un morceau de ruban grosgrain brun à couture sur le texte. J'ai ensuite agrafé un bout du rouleau pour le fermé et l'ai recouvert d'un morceau de carton turquoise (j'ai utilisé un poinçon de bordure décorative sur ce morceau.) J'ai étampé une petite étiquette de voyage et encré les bords, pris une fleur que j'ai fait il y a quelques semaines (j'en ferai d'autres et vous expliquerai le processus plus tard) et choisi un papillon poinçonné + embossé (de CeeCee) pour finir le tout. Je voulais plusieurs couches mais vous pourriez faire plus simple si vous le souhaitiez. C'est facile à faire et ça ne coûte pratiquement rien en fournitures!
